LOOSEN UP YOUR LANDSCAPES WITH RIC BURKITT

Join exhibiting artist, Ric Burkitt as he delivers a masterclass in landscape painting to compliment to his latest collection of works, Far Horizons. Held in Ric’s light-filled home studio these three-hour workshops invite participants to explore beyond the boundaries of traditional landscapes, loosen their painting style and connect with the dynamic scenery of the Perth Hills via the canvas.

Using acrylic paint, wood panels, and a variety of tools and techniques, participant will add layers, scrape off paint and rework to walk away with a complete artwork after just one session.

Suitable for all skill levels from beginner to experienced painters. Very limited capacity. All materials provided. Participants to bring own apron.

Landscapes from Life with Marina van Leeuwen

Create an oil painting inspired by your immediate surroundings with Marina van Leeuwen in this 1-day workshop. You’ll explore the nearby Mundaring Sculpture Park, interpreting your local landscape 'an alla prima' whilst gaining an understanding of the basics of oil painting, composition and colour.

Meet at Mundaring Arts Centre and we will move to Mundaring Sculpture Park together (weather permitting).

Marina van Leeuwen is a multi-disciplinary artist who employs print, paint, photography, collage and found objects to explore overlooked textures and patterns in urban spaces.
