This workshop invites participants to explore the abstract genre with award winning painter, Ric Burkitt. Held in Ric’s light-filled home studio, these four-hour workshops welcome students to loosen up and explore the fundamentals of abstract painting.

Using acrylic paint, and a variety of tools and techniques, participants will add layers, scrape off paint, and rework to walk away with a complete artwork after just one session. Within this they will gain an understanding of the basic elements and principles of composition and colour theory.

Suitable for all skill levels from beginner to experienced painters. Very limited capacity. All materials provided. Participants to bring own apron.
