Working from life, this workshop will cover colour mixing, composition, Alastair’s wet palette method, and how to make the boring bits interesting!

Create an oil painting inspired by your immediate surroundings with Marina van Leeuwen in this 1-day workshop. You’ll explore the nearby Mundaring Sculpture Park, interpreting your local landscape 'an alla prima' whilst gaining an understanding of the basics of oil painting, composition and colour.

Meet at Mundaring Arts Centre and we will move to Mundaring Sculpture Park together (weather permitting).

Marina van Leeuwen is a multi-disciplinary artist who employs print, paint, photography, collage and found objects to explore overlooked textures and patterns in urban spaces.
