Join us to celebrate the body of works created during Stephanie Reisch’s residency at Mundaring Arts Centre. Reisch will present a brief overview of the outcomes of the residency and answer questions about her arts practice.
Born in Belgium and based in Perth, Stephanie Reisch is an early career artist who explores mystical and shamanistic precepts through notions of trace and essence. Grounded in animal alchemy and prehistory, her practice spans across drawing, painting, sound and digital media. Her work generally references objects from the natural world, particularly skulls and small bone fragments from various animals. Working with the embedded history contained within these objects she aims to subvert conventional representations of nature to create new perceptions of the primal and untamed.
